Fixing the Fight-or-Flight Loop

Many people are told to “just meditate,” but when they try, their anxiety actually gets worse. In this teaching, I explain why that happens from a nervous-system perspective and how shallow, upper-chest breathing keeps your body stuck in fight-or-flight — even when you’re trying to relax.

Then I guide you through a simple diaphragmatic breathing practice (inhale for 4, exhale for 6) you can use anywhere to calm your system, bring more oxygen to your brain, and drop into a genuine state of ease. This is a practical, body-based tool you can start using the same day to feel clearer, more grounded, and less overwhelmed.
